Suggestions for Kent

Kent Newsome is ‘crowdsourcing’ his blogroll to find some interesting new reading and asked for five suggestions from current incumbents. The following four are quite well-known in the UK, so apologies for the lack of originality, but they’re must-reads for me that aren’t on Kent’s list. The fifth is a new one that’s looking very promising.

Broadstuff Alan Patrick, with occasional collaborators, on social media, start-ups and technology. Alan is the master of terrible puns, and a smart guy to boot.

Virtual Economics Seamus McCauley on media, business and technology. I particularly like Seamus’ blog because he has a knack for picking up on interesting stories no-one else is writing about.

JonnyB’s Private Secret Diary Consistently funny. Very English. Nothing to do with tech. Check his blogroll for some more funny people.

edu.blogs.com Ewan McIntosh on how social media is transforming education. Inspiring stuff, not just for teachers, but for anyone who’s interested in the positive social effects of technology.

Blognation One to watch — it’s very-nearly-just-about-to-launch and will gather news of not-American technology and mobile startups. Under the stewardship of ex-Techcrunch UK/Vecosys editor Sam Sethi.
